PMC ALL STAR Spotlight: Leah!

Leah started PT as a baby before she was walking and has worked very hard to overcome her one-sided muscle weakness.  Leah is one of the youngest children to use a cutting edge estim device for lower leg muscle activation called the Bioness L300go!  Leah is now running, jumping, and loves doing gymnastics!

As a bilingual Spanish-English speaker, Leah began speech to increase her verbal language skills. When Leah first began speech therapy, she was primarily communicating by pointing, using gestures, and using some simple words. Each week, she worked hard and eagerly participated in language activities. Now, she expresses herself using full sentences, responds to who, what, and where questions appropriately, and verbally retells stories using pictures! Leah has met all goals with speech therapy and has been discharged.

Way to go, Leah!
