PMC ALL STAR - Charlotte!

PMC ALL STAR: Charlotte

Charlotte has been coming to PMC for physical therapy over the past several months to treat vestibular symptoms and significant car sickness. When she started attending therapy, she was unable to do many things that are necessary in her daily  life as well as many little things that simply brought her joy. Charlotte was unable to ride the bus to school due to car sickness, watch TV with her family,  use an iPad,  and she was unable to complete her favorite pastime, reading for more than a few minutes, due to feeling sick.

After several months of hard work to strengthen her core, neck musculature, visual tracking, coordinating eye movements, and improving tolerance for spinning and other body movements; Charlotte is back to doing all of the things she loves! She is able to tolerate car rides up to 1 hour without getting sick and is able to read or watch her iPad for as long as she wants! She is back to doing cartwheels and jumping on the trampoline with her friends without any sickness!

We are so proud of Charlotte and the hard work she has put in! Even on days when she was experiencing increased dizziness she always participated with a smile on her face. Charlotte recently graduated from PT and we are so excited to see what she accomplishes with confidence that she can move and play without feeling sick! We cannot wait to see what Charlotte accomplishes next!
