Pediatric Movement Center's registered dietitian (RD) services provide medical nutrition therapy and general nutrition counseling. An RD can help with a variety of challenges such as: picky eating, nutrition for athletes, creating healthy eating habits, navigating food allergies/sensitivities, weight loss/weight gain and specific medical concerns.

 A registered dietitian (RD) can help with a variety of challenges, such as


  • Picky eaters: help for parents looking to expand their little one’s palate and balance child preferences with healthy habits.
  • Student athlete: if you have a student athlete and you are wanting to make sure they are getting enough energy and nutrients to sustain their activity level.
  • Healthy eating habits: with all the fad diets and ‘quick fix’ approaches on social media and in the news, a dietitian can help sift through all that information/misinformation and provide you will fresh ideas and a plan that fits your lifestyle.
  • Food allergies/sensitivities: an RD can help you figure out how to work with any food allergies or sensitivities while creating a balanced diet.
  • Weight loss/weight gain: whether you are looking to lose weight or gain weight, dietitians can help you create lifelong healthy habits to meet your goals.

Emily Poole. Registered Dietitian (RD)

Meet Our Registered Dietitian (RD)


Emily is PMC's on-site RD. She is a medical professional who uses her expertise in food and nutrition to help improve people’s lives, providing medical nutrition therapy and general nutrition counseling. She maintains continuing education for renewed registration at the state and national level.


Emily has a degree from Villanova University, and has over 23 years of dietetics experience. Emily is a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Personal Trainer, a level 2 NICA mountain biking coach, and is certified in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management.

What to expect from my first visit

The first visit with an RD will consist of sharing your medical history and what your goal’s are for the visit. Whatever your goals are, a dietitian will create a personalized plan to help you meet them. To understand the complete picture, you will be asked about your current nutrition intake. If you have labs, please bring them with you. The RD will look at your lifestyle, food preferences, past medical history, family history, and goals to better counsel you.


How many visits with the dietitian will you need?

Each patient’s needs are unique, so how often you meet with the RD will depend on your goals and needs.


Do you accept insurance?

Currently PMC's dietitian services are private pay only. Clients can individually submit reimbursement requests to their insurance provider.


What is the cost for registered dietitian services?

Initial Evaluation: $180

Follow-up treatment $120/hour (most sessions will be 30-45 minutes in length, and would cost $60-$90/session)
