Handwriting Groups :: Level 1

This group is designed for children ages 4-6 to:

• Develop hand strength and coordination for holding objects
• Develop pre-writing strokes needed for writing letters
• Work on writing and tracing his/her first name in capital letters 
• Work on hand-eye coordination for writing
• Introduce capital letters

 *Prerequisites: Child should have the ability to attend a table top task for 10 minutes, be able to           follow directions, and be able to transition between tasks.

Handwriting Groups :: Level 2

This group is designed for children ages 6-8 to:

• Work on the components of writing: (letter orientation + placement, sizing, spacing, etc.)
• Work on a functional pencil grasp
• Writing words and sentences 
• Work on forming and sizing capital and lowercase letters

 *Prerequisites: Child should have the ability to write his/her first name,  has mastered 75% of uppercase letters, be able to follow directions, and be able to transition between tasks.
